MoYou London 31 Day Nail Art Challenge: Day 6 London

Hey stamperistas,

I'm dragging behind a bit these days secondary to exhaustion and work.  I have come to the conclusion I need a vacation.  This conclusion has the same weight as when someone says I need to win the lottery.  Ahem. Yes that would be lovely, but likely won't be happening anytime soon.  Maybe I need to simplify my manis, but somehow I feel that's impossible after all aside from this being a challenge it's also a contest and I want to win.  So here we are at  day 6 and the London theme.

Mani-louge

Base Coat/Top Coat:  CND Stickey and Sally Hansen Diamond Flash

Base color: L'Oreal A la' Meringue and Lacquer Lust Just An Illusion

Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas #2 and #33, Konad Special Polish in Red

Stamping plates: MoYou London Tourist 01 and Roxy 10

I rather like how these turned out with the exception of the Union Jack.  So here's what happened I used straight Nail Vinyls to pull off the design and then slowly removed them.  Most of the lines were perfect.  However, when I put the top coat over the design the polish underneath was clearly not dry and so it dragged and smeared slightly ruining my design :(  I chose not to use the Union Jack on the MoYou plate because it did not allow me to use blue and red to successfully isolate out the colors of the flag.  I don't think the stamp was well thought out because either the colors will mix as you scrape, no matter which angle you chose, or you will be left with an all red or all blue stamp.  Ugh.

I am most proud of my yellow submarine!  That stamp is so kick ass I may need to do a separate Beatles mani at some point again just to play with that image again!  In any case thanks so much for reading!  See you next post...
