Happy Saturday and welcome to day 3 of this little challenge! I'm keeping it pretty old school for this theme relying on pretty polish and simple patterns with a "decayed" method to liven things up. I love animal prints particularly anything leopard/cheetah/tiger/jaguar print. So I decided to stick with what I love and simply pair it it beautiful polish and an nontraditional layout. I think it worked nicely.
Mani-louge
Basecoat/Topcoat: CND Stickey and Sally Hansen Diamond Flash
Basecolors: Polished by KPT Let's Get Peachy and Sunday Rose
Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas #2
Stamping plate: MoYou London Pro Collection 04 XL
For the base colors I chose two polishes that have been languishing in my stash dying to get out. Polished by KPT Sunday Rose and Let's Get Peachy! Sunday Rose is part of the Mother's Day duo with Serum No.5 that released 2 weekends ago and Let's Get Peachy is part of the spring collection in general. Both are thermal though LGP has an exteremely subtle shift that is difficult to catch, and I prefer it in its cool form as a bright orange jelly with heavy shimmer and flecks. Sunday Rose is a shimmering pink that fades to pure shimmering white when warm. It's gorgeous and I'm glad it joined my stash!
For all of the nails other than the accent of Sunday Rose I stamped down the pattern then removed portions of it using scotch tape. Then I went back in with a little black polish and threw in some dots for good measure. The result of this is the decayed jaguar/leopard pattern you see.
I hope you liked day 3 of this challenge. Most likely day 4 will be a delayed post since tomorrow I'll have up my swatches and nail art for Elevation Polish and those posts are always a doozy because of all the combined art. You can purchase Polished by KPT here on Big Cartel. I do believe she plans on doing one more restock of the Mother's Day Duo if you are interested. Thanks for reading and see you next post!
