Happy hump day. It's been a while since I've done a Sunday stamping challenge mainly because in case you couldn't tell I stamp pretty much all the time. Lol in any case the challenges lately also haven't really gotten me revved up, but a few weeks ago there was a challenge for stamping over a holographic poli8sh. Since I love a good holo I couldn't resist this challenge even though I'm a way late. So today I have some blazingly holographic nails to share with you! PS my new lighting set up is seriously insane with these holographic polishes :)
KBShimmer Run! It's the Coppers has been on my wishlist forever so when Christy Rose had a sale a few weeks ago I managed to snag it along with 3 other polishes, but I didn't try it till now. I love KBShimmers and I own a lot of them, but this one is so special to me because its a near nude on my skintone. Let's be honest I love nudes, but they aren't really "nude" with my brown complexion. Instead they are more like neutrals, but Coppers (as I'll be calling it for short) is almost dead on. It also doesn't hurt that the formula on this one is near to flawless if a bit on the thicker side of things for a holo. The swatch I have below are two effortless coats.
Mani-louge
Basecoat / Topcoat: Duri Rejuvacote and Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Topcoat
Gradient: KBShimmer Run! It's the Coppers and Jade Holograficos Delirio Rosa
Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas Chocolate & Forest Green
Stamping plate: DRK Nails Designer Series XL 1
So what do you think? The roses are done using a variety of Orly Satin Hues polishes and advanced stamping. I just tried playing the colors off of each other until I got the exact look I wanted. One thing I will say about the DRK Nails XL Designer Series plates is that they are so loaded with gorgeous images and details you could probably create over 50 different manicures using that one plate! I love it to death. In any event you can find DRK Nails plates here. I do think the XL 1 is currently sold out though. You can find KBShimmer polishes here. Thanks for reading and I'll see you next post...
The gradient looks so goooooood it almost made me sad to see you have covered it with stamping. But really great stamping - the roses colours are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks hun I definitely understand what you mean. I actually had a very hard time stamping over the gradient as well, but I the challenge was stamping over holo plus I was also super happy with how the roses came out :)
