I have a subtle and quiet look for you today. I had actually been dying to try layering stamping in jelly finish polishes since I did that "Shadows" themed manicure for the MoYou London 31 day nail art challenge (here). In particular I was eager to use the effect with lace images, and so today that's exactly what I did! I also tested out some new polishes I got from Jolie Polish and more of my Marianne Nails plates. So let's take a look at how this experiment turned out.
Mani-louge
Basecoat/Topcoat: Duri Rejuvacote / Poshe Fast Drying Topcoat
Base colors: Jolie Polish White Crelly and Black Crelly
Stamping polishes: Mundo de Unas #1 and #2
Stamping plates: Marianne Nails No. 18 and 27
It's rare for me to do so soft looking and quiet nail art. I think you all know I live for saturated colors and bold patterns, but every once in a while I love a look that isn't all flash and glamour or punches of color. I think you will be seeing a few more of these looks on my nails over the next several months because I will be interviewing. I think this one is still a bit too much for those purposes, but I like the overall effect. Shockingly this did not turn out the way I expected it to and I also was a bit surprised by just how quiet this mani really was.
What do you think? Yes or no? As I said before this is so different from what I normally create even I'm not sure how to feel. Lol I guess that's part of the process of experimenting. I will say though that the Jolie Polish jellies were amazing! Sheer and incredibly fast drying! I purchased the black and white in a basic trio. If you are interested you can find them here. Marianne Nails plates, which I reviewed here, can be purchased in the shop here.
