Essie Blue Tone Ocean Swirl Watermarble Nail Art

Hey lacqueristas,

I know it's been a little slow in the stamping department these days.  I actually have tons of mani's to share, but I really needed a break after participating in the MoYou London Rainbow challenge.  I just found myself getting way overstressed and nitpicky regarding my own designs for my liking.  I decided it might be better to take a step back and revisit some nail art techniques that I love and have allowed to get rusty.  So basically I have been doing nothing but watermarbles for the last week and it's been a nice refresher!  This swirl or pinwheel art idea I got from mysimplelittlepleasures.  If you love watermarbles you should definitely check her out! Now onto the art oh and as a bonus I actually created a tutorial to go along with this on my Instagram!

I actually ended up remarbling my central finger because the swirl was so offsides.  For me it's very tough to align all 3 of my fingers perfectly to hit the pattern just so and I really wanted the swirl to be the starting point outwards.  I know a lot of ladies struggle with watermarbles.  I too, used to find them incredibly challenging and horrible, but now a days I can enjoy them without too much stress and strain.  The best tips I can give you are to always have your water at room temperature and also test your polishes to make sure they will spread in the water.  These two tips alone will save you hours of frustration.  I also have a bunch of additional tips up under that post on my IG account for those that are interested!

What do you think of the final design?  Look out for a lot more watermarbles in the future.  I decided to do one at least monthly from now on to keep my skills from decaying!  Thanks for reading and I'll see you next post! P.S. I also have a little sneak peek of some Halloween marbleing on my IG account :)
