Get your drool catchers ready cause these new plates are gonna blow your mind! Let's face it I think by now we know of my addict like behavior and addition to stamping plates. It's kind of the most demented and yet awesome problem to have EVER. I mean I love stamping, but more than that I love finding and supporting brands that make me swoon! I like it even more when the creators of these brands have more talent and experience at the craft than you can shake a stick at. Of course I am referring to Johanne of FabUrNails. Have you seen her Facebook or Instagram account? If not I highly suggest you go check her out! She is unbelievably talented and posts tutorials all the time! So how could she possibly be more awesome? Oh wait she makes stamping plates that cause me major heart palpitations....
Ok here is a prime example of why Fun plates are a worthwhile investment and also novel plates to have in your collection.
First you have to understand Johanne is very receptive to her customers requests. Several of the images on this plate were ones that were highly coveted by the stamping community. Of course I'm referring to the dogwood images strewn randomly in full size nail images across the plate. On top of this instead of just putting the images customers requested she redesigned elements of the requested images into new arrangements for us! It goes without saying I need this plate! It has a lot of designs that will work well for weddings etc. Gimme!
Do I really need to say anything about this plate? It is beyond gorgeous and beyond original! What rocks about this plate is that it melds themes that are highly popular right now (blowing bubbles, flowers, etc) with novelty to create something new. Then there are so many abstracts and florals that lend themselves easily to decaling and leadlighting. Also how adorable is this child blowing bubbles and the woman holding the giant heart?
Fresh abstracts and cool patterns! And then as if that wasn't enough the entire bottom row is like an homage to Valentine's Day and lovers etc. Ok you guys know I'm not a romantic, but these images are pretty darn cute right? I know a lot of you ladies are gonna go gaga for these images lol.
Ok so what do you think? Favorites and must haves? Shall I surprise you and tell you that there are more Fun plates in the pipelines that will be releasing slowly over the course of the next year? Those of you who are familiar with the brand may be used to seeing the plates release in batches of 8 or so, but let me tell you when I asked Johanne about that here's what she told me. It's more important to have novel quality images and plates than it is to rush out the release of plates it's not a race. Hear here good woman you have my undying support and respect!
So these plates will be available next week in the FabUrNails store. As a bonus right now they are on sale for $15 USD this is a savings from the regular $18 and shipping costs are very reasonable (around $7). Take advantage and get them now otherwise you can wait until Llarowe stocks them, as she is the US based distributor but I have no idea when that might happen.
