Born Pretty Store Floral Water Decal Nail Art & Review

Hey stamp champs,

I have some cute nail art for you today!  When Born Pretty Store approached me about reviewing a few of their products I was so flattered.  You all know I'm a huge fan of their recently released stamping plates as well.  And so I wanted to create something appealing and also do their products justice.  I picked out items that I felt were in sync with my own personal style without narrowing the scope too much.  Today I'm going to show you some decals I chose and how I used them to create a look that was still very much in my venue of art.

So I think if you read this blog you know I am a nail art stamper - duh right? Yet you have never seen me use decals.  I've always wanted to, but I've been a bit of a wuss about using them until now.  I decided to stay true to my usual craft though and integrate the decals into my stamping and I really love how this look turned out! I will say when one is using layered techniques the best thing to do is to keep one technique simple so that whatever you are layering stands out.

Base color: Essie Sand Tropez
Gradient: Essie Tart Deco, NYC Midtown Mimosa, Sally Hansen X-treme Wear Green With Envy
Glitter topper: Freak Show Polish Star Wars Trio The Force

Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas 22 (Mexican Pink)

Stamping plate: Marianne Nails MN25

Water decals: Born Pretty Store Item #G080

I created the straight lines using one of my stamping plates from Marianne Nails (all details are in the Mani-louge) and Mundo de Unas polish.  After everything was dry I simply placed the water decals over the stamped base and then topped everything with one more layer of topcoat.

How do you like the finished product?  I'm really happy I stepped outside of my box of comfort a little bit because I ended up creating something really cute.  These water decals are extremely easy to use and if you have problems with placement you can always re-wet the decals and scoot them around until you find just the right position on your nails. I also created a quick 15 second tutorial for this nail art as well :)
