The press is getting hotter and hotter as the year gets its groove!  Now all of a sudden we are getting slammed with plate releases or eminent releases.  It's a blessing and a curse, and it means we as shoppers need to become a great deal more selective in our purchases than we have been historically. Today's newly released plates are coming from one of my favorite companies DRK Nails!  They have released two of new XL plates for our stamping pleasure and I for one am excited!  So lets take a look....

Happy Sunday! As you all know I love to follow up stamping plate reviews with....nail art.  Lol kinda makes perfect sense right.  Yesterday I reviewed the new Leadlight Lacquer plates from Messy Mansion (read about it here) and despite also pulling out a mega tutorial for double processed stamping I still couldn't leave these plates alone and so here we are.  Know what else I can't leave alone? My neon mate polishes from Virtuous Polish.  They are stunning and aren't getting nearly enough nail time in my life.  So while it may be the heart of winter over here prepare for some tropical storms....

Lesson Lockdown: How To Create Double Processed/Double Processing Nail Art!

Today I'm going to show you a new technique I discovered through a nail friend and a true creative powerhouse Joey Helland.  Regardless of what she says this lady is truly amazing!  Anyone who can come up with these techniques, raise two children, act as a wife, and hold down a job gets all my respect and admiration in the world.  I'd be napping lol!  Anyhoo she created this technique and named it Double Processing which is an entirely accurate description.  Essentially is a stamp that you process twice! Eh? Yeah I know when she first tried to describe this technique to me even with pictures I was like um....Yup total confusion and dismay.  I kept looking at her pictures expecting an epiphany and when that didn't happen I just decided to try practicing and see if I could produce the results by trial.  Luckily I was able to and discovered that this technique is pretty awesome once you have the basics that is! So I decided to create a little video tutorial and a verbal breakdown a alongside the process so let's go!

Happy Saturday everyone! It's raining proverbial icy cats and dogs outside right now.  I hope everyone is staying inside where it's warm and dry where ever you may be.  Today I have yet another epic review for you all!  Lol I have a lot of them don't I?  However I figure the more of these posts I create the larger the database will exist upon which you can choose to make your purchases.  Today I'm going to reviewing the Leadlight Lacquer plates from Messy Mansion.  These released late in December of 2014 thought if you recall from my sneak peek 8 months ago I've been anticipating them for a very long time so now I'm super excited and ready to show that they were and are entirely worth the wait! Valentines Day 2015: Layered Holographic Hearts

How's everyone doing? I was supposed to be posting up another epic review but my scanner is having some difficulties so while it's in the shop getting it's act together I'm going to be showing you another nail art look I created for Valentine's Day.  Once again I'm obsessing with hearts though this time they are not of the watermarble variety but rather abstracted and layered over a gorgeous holographic gradient.

Hot Off The Stamping Press: MoYou London Holy Shapes Collection!

It's still Wednesday.  That means MoYou London is going strong on today.  If you haven't seen it already MoYou London launched their latest plate from the Zodiac Collection yesterday.  You can read about and view the Aquarius plate here.  Today though they launched a new collection called Holy Shapes and I for one am unbelievably excited.  I'm not even going to spaz and squee this time I'm just gonna jump right in!

Meet Olly.  I love her hair but she can take that sweater back to the 90's and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air where it belongs lol.  Sometimes I seriously question the fashion sensibilities of the MoYou London mascots.  But let pause for a minute while you sit right there and tell you how excited and thrilled I am to see a woman of color up in the mix! See what I did right there? Wink wink. Anyway how refreshing and novel this is I can't begin to explain, but it sure is awesome!

Hot Off The Stamping Press: MoYou London Valentine's Day Festive Collection Expansion!

Catching up on some plate releases today!  So a quick blog post to show you the Valentine's Day plate MoYou London is releasing early for us.  Thank goodness they decided to do it early for a change.  I took the risk for Christmas of ordering the plates they released late and I definitely did not get them in time for holiday nail art :(   I was a bit sad about that especially because I wanted to use the carols plate, but this time its early enough that if I order I will get them in time.  Yay!

Lol I am entirely unsure of what to make of this banner.  I find whatever love is happening between this pug and rabbit slightly hilarious though...

Valentine's Day 2015: Cascading Hearts Watermarble Nail Art

Love is in the air?  Not particularly but last year I really didn't get to do all the Valentine's Day nail art I wanted to.  Actually I didn't even get close to it so this year I thought I would start a little early that way I can play all I want to.  Today I started with a particularly challenging nail art which is the heart watermarble. I was inspired once again by MySimpleLittlePleasures.   For those that follow me on Instagram you might have seen my post of a practice marble.  This was one of the most difficult watermarbles I have undertaken yet!   Mainly because of the use of so many colors and having to move fairly quickly to create my design in the water precisely and before the polish dried.  Lordy!  However it was totally worth the effort when I finished it!

Fab Ur Nails Abstract Doodles Nail Art & Tutorial

Lol that sounded cuter in my head as things often do ;)  Today I created what really amounted to a super quick and bright colored abstract nail art to cheer my sorry self up.  I hate when you look outside and everything is grey as though the sun never existed in your hemisphere.  Don't get me wrong winter is made for scarves and extra hot lattes and warm snuggly blankets and I love all that, but I just wish I could see a bit of sun peeking through the skies kwim?  I don't know how you ladies in London and New Zealand do it!  I lived in both of those places and the rain and grey skies nearly drove me mad!  In any case I created this to create some cheer around the place so let's take a look...

Hot Off The Stamping Press: MoYou London Pro Collection Expansion

Super quick post today just to show you the newest plate, yes singular, launching from MoYou London this upcoming Friday from the Pro Collection.  Apparently MoYou has been doing some redesigning which I noticed a few weeks ago - new live models, sneak peeks at a few new collections, up close images of nail art.  All very interesting and apparently gear towards what they are describing as a massive storm of releases, video interviews etc that will be happening next week.  In the meantime while waiting we can at least check out the latest offering from the Pro Collection......

Pet'la Plate Nail Art Stamping Plates Review Part 2

Happy Monday such as it is and welcome to another epic review! I have a lot coming up even though I've been on quite a roll lately.  In any case today I'm going to be talking about  Pet'la Plate again!  You may recall I did a very extensive review on this brand several months ago. Read about it here.   At that time I had several plates that were a bit problematic in terms of etching and asked for replacement plates with Petra's shallower level of etching so the focus of todays post will be on these replacements.  I usually will post my reviews on the weekend, but I found out that there was a special going on with Pet'la so I wanted to share that info a little bit sooner so that if you wanted to take advantage of the sale you could.  As usual these reviews are broken up into sections for your perusal so feel free to skip to a particular area of interest. Hot Off The Stamping Press: New GogoOnly Nail Art Stamping Plates!

I guess the new year is starting off slow in terms of plate releases, but  new brands are emerging here and there and as they do I'm happy to introduce them to you.  Today I want to show you a new brand that popped up on Amazon a few days ago called GogoOnly.  Yeah GogoOnly.  Totally a strange name, but the plate is visually interesting and is also quite large.  This particular plate is called St. Mary, and I've no idea if this is a plate in a series or a singular release, but let's take a look.

Elevation Polish Journey Through Music Collection Swatches and Nail Art

Welcome back!  I have a lot of exciting posts coming up but today I'm the most excited to share the newest collection from Elevation Polish which will be releasing this January.  I know some of you are wondering where the hell have your EP posts gone Tamira?  In fact they haven't gone anywhere I have the October and November collections up on Instagram which I will be importing over here along with some nail art.  It was just easier while I was traveling like mad.  December's collection I don't have because of mail snafu.  So hopefully that explains where things have been.  Now today I am so freaking giddy because Lulu really decided to take 2015 by storm!  There is so much holo, blue, blue (yes I repeated it twice), shimmer, and duochrome happening here I nearly died of nailgasm.  But let me stop hyping and just show you the goods ;)  Let me just warn in advance this post will be pic heavy!
