Christmas 2015: Holographic Snowflakes and Candy Cane Swirls + Tutorial

Hey stamp champs,

As ever every year I don't get to do nearly enough Christmas nail art.  I wanted to do so much more this season and look its already the 22th! Gah!  This might be the most productive I've been over the christmas season.  Lots of tutorials - I've shot more than I've released so hopefully I'll be able to get a few more up before the holiday season ends.  However today I'm doing another MoYou London nail art using their Festive plates this time.  Honestly Festive 03 gets a heavy workout from me every season - namely because the patterns on this plate are so freaking classic!  That swirl for the candy cane gets me every time however todays mani is definitely not the classic mint twist you might be expecting.  Please definitely tell me what you think in this alternative take in the comments below!

Mani-louge
Base: Duri Rejuavote /UNT Peel Off Basecoat/
Poshe Fast Drying Topcoat / Sally Hansen Diamond Flash
Base color: Zoya Blu or Color Club French Tip
Gradient: Color Club French Tip, Zoya Blu, OPI I Saw U Saw We Saw Warsaw
Holographic topper: Etheral Laquer Claire de Lune or CND Northern Lights in Silver
Stamping polish: Mundo de Unas Navy (3)
Stamping plate:  MoYou London Festive 03

Ethereal Lacquer Claire de Lune is one of the only EL's I own.  I adored this company and wanted to own more of their polishes however I always missed the releases and the company hasn't produced anything in over a year.  I'm not sure Meghan is ever coming back, but I have always loved her polishes and as such this one has a special place in my heart :) If you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen the little sexy short I did of it ;)

So as you can see I whipped up another tutorial for these.  Even though the end result was pretty simple it did take me a while to create these.  I don't know if it was the gradient or something else.  Lol that's what happens when you don't have an idea before you start creating!

I'm quite satisfied with how these came out.  Though they didn't even last a day.  I'm having a hardcore love hate relationship with my UNT Peel Off.  Its amazing but I believe because I wash my hands upwards of 50 times per day it peels off incredibly quickly compared to other ladies.  Hence why at the end of the day I'm always missing a nail or two or three of art.  Lol.  In any case I hope everyone is having a great holiday season and I'll see you next post!
