So apparently its something called Super Bowl Sunday today, but since neither team is a team I give a cent about I'm off to other adventures. Namely trying to get over my nail fail slump. I have tried so many mani's lately in pursuit of my Valentine's Day spirit and a lot of them have gone belly up. The most I've gotten out of it were some beautiful swatches. I'll take that, but seriously I'm so dissapointed that my last 3 mani's have been absolute fails. So today I decided let's stick to simple and simple in this case means nude and lace.

Lace mani's can pretty much be worn year round, but I do think that generally speaking lace is pretty sexy and you have to be feeling yourself a little bit to take it there. Lol. People notice lace no matter how demure. I'm interested in trying something even softer next time I take my lace plates out for a spin.

Speaking of most of my lace plates happen to be from Marianne's Nails. It's crazy I was digging through my collection and pulled out like 7 lace plates from her alone. So I had to take at least one for a spin! Definitely check out Ghislaine's plates if you are into romance because there are a ton!
So I'm still really determined to work on my freehand accenting because I do think it adds to stamping tremendously especially when mastered. So today I think I did a better job overall than when I first started practicing. I did tons of lines using that tiny little brush you see there on paper. It was very frustrating, but the more you practice the better your lines get. Also having the correct brush is truly everything!
Someone not that long ago asked in the comments for the link to the Mosiac Gel Paints. I will say they are great but if you can find a local alternative that is probably your best best since these were a huge splurge for me and also the shipping from Canada to the US is so high it was a 1/3 of the cost! This is the only store I have ever been able to find Mosiac Gels. Good luck! Also if you prefer not to use 3D gel you can also create accents using regular acrylic paint which would also have been a great choice here.
